She then obtained a Honours degree (2008) and a Masters degree (Cum Laude) in Interior Architecture (2009) from the University of Pretoria (South Africa), after which she worked in industry for another 5 years.

Anneke lectured part-time at the University of Pretoria (2013) while still working in industry. She then lectured full-time in the Interior Design departments at the Design School of Southern Africa (2014) and the University of Johannesburg, South Africa (2015 - 2016).
